MLS GO
MLS GO’s Mission
MLS GO is Major League Soccer’s recreational youth soccer program, with the mission of creating an inclusive and elevated experience for all participants. Fun and affordability are at the heart of MLS GO with the ambition of enabling more kids to play soccer.
MLS GO is offered to all children ages 4-14. Whether destined for the professional ranks or looking to get their first experience in the sport, MLS GO is the first step in the pathway where we invite all to learn fundamental soccer skills and develop a lasting love of the game.
By offering local communities a structured introductory soccer program with connections to a developmental pathway, we’re enabling greater access to the sport — seeking to remove any barriers to participating in the game we love.

FAQs
- Who can sign up?
- Anyone in the age groups listed
- Do we register as a team or individually?
- Individual Registration
- How are teams formed?
- Depending on the season, teams are either formed for the entire session or made each week
- Who coaches the teams?
- Our staff will organize the players and ref the games – coaching is deliberately kept to a minimum
- Why is this program important?
- Soccer is a GAME. Many team-based opportunities often become dull for kids as there’s an emphasis on coaching, and training and that can lead to the sense the game is a job for kids. We want players to have fun, be engaged, and PLAY
- Can I register even if I am missing a week or two?
- Sure!
- Can I request friends to play with?
- Yes – you can do that when you register. We can’t guarantee friends will be together if groups are more than 2
- What are the expectations for parents/fans?
- We ask that we cheer the kids but refrain from coaching. We want the players to be free to make choices and this is something that is a big push now for, not only US Soccer, but the world’s governing bodies.
- I am late hearing about the program, can I still register?
- Sure – as long as there’s space
- What are the game formats?
- We’ll either player 4v4, 5v5, 6v6 or 7v7 depending on the field size
- Where is the schedule?
- You’ll see the schedule in your DASH account (where you registered)
- What gear do I need?
- Water bottle, shin guards and indoor sneakers or soccer shoes (no cleats)
- Communications.
- We will be in touch a few days before the session with a welcome email.
